Purpose:

To provide comprehensive cleanup programs or implementation of mitigation measures.

Description of Service:

Otwell Mawby, P.C. has been involved in many projects where contamination has been identified and the client is in need of a comprehensive cleanup program or implementation of mitigation measures. We have designed, implemented and managed the operation and sampling of numerous soil and groundwater remediation projects. We communicate frequently with the regulatory agencies regarding remediation/ mitigation projects so that all requirements are fulfilled effectively and in the most cost effective and timely manner.

Services offered by Otwell Mawby, P.C. in conjunction with soil and groundwater remediation and soil gas mitigation projects include:

• Evaluation of soil and groundwater contamination including plume delineation, and determining groundwater flow characteristics.

• Design and installation of monitor well networks. Implement and maintain monitoring schedules to include: sampling, reviewing results, preparing progress reports for client and/or for submittal to regulatory agencies.

• Analysis of remediation options including risk-based evaluations and comparing exposure controls to more aggressive clean-ups. Alternative analyses consider clean-up capability, time to clean-up, and cost efficiency.

• Design of remediation system using appropriate technology including purge and treat systems, soil venting systems, air sparging and enhanced bioremediation systems. Natural unenhanced bioremediation is also a viable alternative for some projects.

• Preparation of Remedial Action Plans for submittal to regulatory agencies, as well as preparation of permits required to start up and operate remediation systems
